New Zealand Story has launched Recruitment Storyteller, a new campaign aimed at helping businesses in the technology, and construction and infrastructure sectors attract international talent to live and work in Aotearoa New Zealand. The initiative is a public-private collaboration, activated by the sectors led through New Zealand Tech and ACE New Zealand.
New Zealand Story CEO David Downs says: “The resources were developed to help tackle the real and widespread talent shortages experienced by New Zealand businesses across many sectors.”
The campaign will help equip New Zealand industries to coordinate their offshore recruitment efforts, leveraging New Zealand’s strong country reputation and values in storytelling.
Recruitment Storyteller offers a central toolkit of specially designed marketing assets, providing tailored content with important nuances for the target regions. Free-to-use videos, social media tiles, and digital ads have been created at regional and sector levels for businesses and recruiters to use in offshore marketing campaigns.
The toolkit is open source, while a centralised activation solution has been developed to aggregate resources and align messages through HainesAttract.
The campaign’s messaging emphasises the consistent reasons migrants from key markets immigrate to Aotearoa New Zealand, including the lifestyle, stunning scenery, a diverse and inclusive culture, safety, career opportunities and education.
The initiative has launched with assets for the technology sector, with construction and infrastructure to follow.
Attracting much-needed international skills is a major priority for Aotearoa New Zealand businesses across many sectors, and this will prove even more critical for New Zealand as the country continues major recovery efforts following recent extreme weather events.
