The world is experiencing a global talent shortage and New Zealand is not immune to this. Multiple sectors need better ways to access and attract international talent. 

To help address this issue New Zealand Story has launched Recruitment Storyteller, a campaign to support the construction and infrastructure sector to recruit international workers.

Recruitment Storyteller is a public-private collaboration, led by ACE New Zealand in partnership with Civil Contractors NZ, Master Builders and Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects, and the New Zealand Construction Industry Council (represented by Master Plumbers) and with funding from the Construction Sector Accord.

We’ve created a suite of assets that includes videos, digital banners, and social tiles to promote New Zealand as a nation that has a dynamic industry, and we need curious, ingenious minds to help us design and build the future.

We encourage you to download and use these assets in your own marketing efforts to promote New Zealand as a spectacular destination to live and work.

There are two ways to activate – individually, downloading assets from our toolkit or through a centralised recruitment solution.

Individual activation

You can download the assets yourself and use them in your own marketing campaign or with your preferred recruitment specialist to attract international talent.

Centralised activation

We've partnered with recruitment specialists HainesAttract who have strong links internationally and can help members to reach high quality candidates. HainesAttract will use the Recruitment Storyteller campaign assets to purchase media and drive online traffic to a newly created website buildyourfuturenz.com where jobs will be posted. Your preferred recruitment specialist can also partner with HainesAttract on this initiative.
